About the Owner:
Brittany Friedel discovered her love for creating jewelry early in childhood. Coming from a family of business owners, she was encouraged to sell her handmade pieces and started attending craft shows with her mother by the age of 8. Setting up a table with bracelets and necklaces made from plastic beads, Brittany found joy in sharing her creations with others, sparking entrepreneurial dreams and a dedication to creating from the very start.
As she grew, Brittany’s passion for jewelry-making deepened. By 16, she had decided to pursue her craft as a career, selling her designs throughout high school and beyond. She studied Business Administration at Meridian Tech and earned a scholarship for a summer metalsmithing course at Oklahoma State University. In 2017, Brittany launched DearBritt Jewelry Designs inside WorkIT, Stillwater’s first coworking space, offering custom pieces, OSU-themed designs, jewelry repairs, and workshops.
During the pandemic, Brittany shifted her business model, transitioning to a home studio while maintaining a retail space at WorkIT. She focused on expanding her skill set in metalsmithing, pearl knotting, and lapidary. Her business further evolved when she and her husband ventured into precious metal casting to create their own wedding bands, which led to offering fine jewelry. Today, DearBritt Jewelry Designs is known for creating Everyday Heirlooms, specializing in custom jewelry, repairs, OSU-themed designs, and offering a wide variety of fine jewelry through trusted suppliers.
In early spring 2024, Brittany and her husband welcomed their first child. While her focus is now on being a mother, her passion for her business continues to thrive. Brittany spends most of her time working from home but can be found downtown at WorkIT during special events and is available by appointment.
