Quartz & Tourmaline Sterling Silver Earrings

Simple drop earrings, with beautiful round stone beads made from white quartz with black tourmaline inclusions. Hand-fabricated .925 sterling silver earrings hooks.

To make these earrings, I take a short piece of sterling wire and my torch, heat it up enough to melt one end into a ball. After that it's polished, I slide the bead on and set to the side. I take another short piece of sterling wire and use my tools to shape it into an earrings hook, creating a loop on one end, then I hammer around the top curve of the hook to harden the wire and then file off any sharp edges on the other end. Then I take the bead on the wire and make a loop, sliding the finished earring hook onto it before wrapping the loop securely. Once these steps are done twice, and the quality is double checked, it's a finished pair of earrings!
